Librarian in Black

While searching for the Librarin in Black blog, which i have read before and liked, I ran across a film called ""The Librarin from the Balc Lagoon". I tlooks hailarious. Meanwhile, I did find LIB, and it is the coolest! Up to the minute technology discussions from real people in the field.

I can't believe I'm reading AARP

But I am. And the articles are good--especially this one about "If not Now, When?" While I'm not there yet, it talks about how older people can keep thier minds sharp by taking on new kinds of work--some volunteer, some not. The point is you can keep learning and keep doing new things.

Where in the world am I?

It's the ultimate runner's gadget: a wrist-worn GPS that calculates your time, average time per mile, how far you've run, how it compares with your previous times, how you do on hills, everything! When you download your runs into a computer, yuo can see a map of where you've been, track your time on a set route. It's everything but a coach with a cap and a whistle.

Marilyn Monroe, move over

Thanks to Zazzle, I can now have my picture on all the stamps I send out in the US Mail. Hmmm, makes me reconsider those email cards. Way cooler! I can be a legend in my own time.

Encouragement

The article in the NYT today was about older women and running and how we beat the younger women because WE TRY HARDER. HOOAH!

Blogged down no more

Cool, now I can have all my blog reading sent to me! Fewer keys to press. I wish I could figure out a way to make this work on my cell phone, so that I could read and send text messages like this.

About the article

I forgot to say...I read the NYT online, of course.
